Roman Helmet, Praetorian Guard Helmet, this helmet is made of 18 gauge brass .The Guard was dissolved by Emperor Constantine I in the 4th century. They were distinct from both the Imperial Germanic bodyguard that provided close personal protection for the late Roman emperors, and the personal Iberian bodyguards of Scipio Africans and Augustus.
Unfortunately there are no original helmet findings.
