Medieval 3 Piece Secret Helmet made of 16 Gauge Steel (Steel Skull Cap, also called a cervelliere).This fully battle-ready replica of a medieval, visorless helmet. During tournaments it was often worn underneath a great helm or a simple cloth head dress. During close combat or "normal" battle the great helmets were often discarded as they impeded sight and breathing and were very hot. So often the steel skull cap provided the only protection while allowing for best possible vision. Made from 16 gauge steel, the three helmet parts are welded together. At the sides and rear there are holes for easy attachment of an aventail. This is an inexpensive battle-ready helmet for beginners. Use a heavy inner padding inside for protection. Standard Adult Size fully wearable.

It works, though the shape isn’t great. It’s fairly large for my 23.5” head, and it’s wider than in should be for its length. But it looks ok and has a good liner so I don’t write it off completely.
