Battle Ready Medieval Italian Sallet made from Heavy 14 Gauge Steel

This helmet replaced the bascinet in Italy, western and northern Europe and some parts of eastern Europe during the mid 15th century. This helmet was very popular in Germany and would evolve into many different styles. The style we have chosen to represent here is very similar to the Italian Barbute and the two styles were very similar. If you chose this helmet you would be very secure in your depiction for almost all of the 15th century.
